TOUR HIGHLIGHTS:

Experience History at The National WWII Museum

Step into the story of the men and women who changed the course of history at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, one of America’s premier museums dedicated to preserving the story of World War II. Through powerful exhibits, personal stories, historic artifacts, and immersive experiences, guests will gain a deeper appreciation for the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the WWII generation.

Our visit includes Beyond All Boundaries, the Museum’s spectacular 4D cinematic experience. Narrated by Tom Hanks, this immersive presentation takes you from Pearl Harbor to V-J Day through dramatic visuals, special effects, archival footage, and the firsthand experiences of those who lived through the war.

We will also experience the Freedom Theater, where the story of World War II comes to life through a powerful multimedia presentation exploring what was at stake for freedom and the significance of the Allied victory.

Adding to this memorable day will be a buffet luncheon at BB’s Stage Door Canteen, followed by a special matinee performance by the Victory Belles. This talented trio captures the spirit of the 1940s with beautiful three-part harmonies, popular songs, and patriotic favorites that remind us how music brought hope and lifted the spirits of Americans during wartime.

It will be a day of remembrance, inspiration, music, and gratitude as we honor the Greatest Generation and the freedoms they fought to preserve.

Mardi Gras World — Where the Magic Is Made

Experience the colorful artistry and larger-than-life imagination of New Orleans at Mardi Gras World, the home of the world-famous Kern Studios. Here, guests get a behind-the-scenes look at how the spectacular floats and enormous figures seen in New Orleans’ legendary Mardi Gras parades are designed, sculpted, painted, and brought to life.

Our guided tour takes us inside the working floatbuilding studio, where talented artists and craftsmen create the incredible floats and props used by some of New Orleans’ most celebrated Mardi Gras krewes. You’ll see magnificent floats up close—much closer than you could ever get when they are rolling down the parade route—and discover the creativity and craftsmanship hidden behind the spectacle.

The experience also includes a short film introducing the history and traditions of Mardi Gras, along with an opportunity to enjoy a taste of authentic New Orleans king cake.

Whether you have experienced Mardi Gras before or are discovering it for the first time, Mardi Gras World brings the spirit of Carnival to life year-round. It is a colorful, fascinating, and uniquely New Orleans experience—and a wonderful opportunity to see the imagination, artistry, and craftsmanship that help make Mardi Gras one of the world’s most celebrated traditions.

Pirates of the Quarter Tour & Chalmette Battlefield

Pirates, Patriots & the Battle for New Orleans

Step back into the colorful and fascinating history of New Orleans as we explore the French Quarter and the legendary characters who helped shape the city’s story. Our Pirates of the Quarter Tour takes us into a world of pirates, privateers, smugglers, and adventurers whose lives became intertwined with the history of the Crescent City.

Among the most famous was Jean Lafitte, the legendary privateer whose Barataria-based band of men played a surprising role in the defense of New Orleans. When the British threatened the city during the War of 1812, Lafitte and many of his men joined General Andrew Jackson’s forces, helping defend the city in the pivotal Battle of New Orleans.

Our journey continues to Chalmette Battlefield, where history comes alive on the very ground where the Battle of New Orleans was fought on January 8, 1815. Here, we will learn how Jackson’s outnumbered American forces defeated the British in a remarkable victory that became a powerful symbol of American pride and helped propel Andrew Jackson to national fame.

At the battlefield, we can see the reconstructed American rampart, the impressive 100-foot Chalmette Monument, historic exhibits, and the grounds where thousands of American and British troops faced one another more than 200 years ago. The nearby Chalmette National Cemetery adds another dimension to the experience, honoring American veterans from conflicts spanning from the War of 1812 through the Vietnam War.

It is a fascinating journey from the colorful legends of New Orleans’ pirates to the courage of the soldiers who stood together to defend the city—a story of adventure, determination, and an unforgettable chapter in American history.

Explore the Louisiana Swamps

Wildlife, Wonder & the Spirit of the Bayou

Leave the city behind and journey into the mysterious beauty of South Louisiana’s swamps and bayous. Surrounded by towering cypress trees draped in Spanish moss and winding waterways, our swamp tour offers a fascinating glimpse into one of Louisiana’s most unique natural environments.

As we cruise through the wetlands, keep your eyes open for American alligators, egrets, herons, turtles, raccoons, and other wildlife that call the bayou home. A knowledgeable local guide will 4 share stories of the swamp, its wildlife, Cajun culture, and the communities that have depended on these waterways for generations.

There is also a fascinating connection to the history we have already explored. These same waterways were once part of the territory associated with legendary New Orleans privateer Jean Lafitte, whose men knew the hidden channels and marshes of South Louisiana well.

With every bend in the bayou revealing something new, the swamp tour is more than a sightseeing excursion—it is an opportunity to experience the natural beauty, wildlife, history, and unmistakable character of Louisiana.

So bring your camera, keep your eyes peeled for an alligator, and get ready for a little “bayou magic!”

These are just the highlights of the tour. Also included will be a guided New Orleans City and Cemetery Tour that takes you through the French Quarter, the Garden District, Magazine Street, and St. Louis Cemetery – the iconic neighborhoods, landmarks, and stories that make New Orleans unlike any other city in America.
