Your tour begins with a flight from Houston International Airport to Billings, Montana where our motorcoach will pick us up and take us to dinner and our first night hotel.
Day 2: September 3 – Little Bighorn Battlefield
Step back into one of the most pivotal moments in American history as we visit Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument in southeastern Montana. Here, on June 25–26, 1876, the combined forces of the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes defeated Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer and elements of the U.S. 7th Cavalry in what became known as the Battle of the Little Bighorn.
As we travel the scenic Battlefield Tour Road, you’ll stand on the very ground where history unfolded. We’ll visit Last Stand Hill, where markers commemorate the soldiers who fell, and see the Indian Memorial, a moving tribute honoring the courage, sacrifice, and heritage of the Native warriors and their families. Throughout the park, you’ll gain a balanced perspective on the events that shaped the American West through exhibits, interpretive displays, and ranger insights.
The sweeping Montana prairie remains remarkably unchanged since 1876, allowing visitors to imagine the dramatic events that took place across these rolling hills. It is a place of reflection, remembrance, and understanding—a destination that tells the story of courage, conflict, and the enduring spirit of all who were part of this defining chapter in our nation’s history.
This unforgettable visit provides not only a fascinating glimpse into the past but also a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultures and histories that helped shape America.
After lunch we head to Cody, WY and check-in for our overnight stay. Cody was named for the man who made this region so famous William Cody, better known as Buffalo Bill. Tonight is a night of western food and entertainment at the Cody Cattle Company with a chuckwagon style dinner, traditional cowboy music and some laughs.
Day 3: September 4 – Buffalo Bill Center of the West and Yellowstone National Park
We start the day with touring of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West which is 5 museums under one roof. Then we depart Cody and enter the world’s first national park, Yellowstone National Park. You’ll begin your Yellowstone experience by skirting the crystal-clear Yellowstone Lake for sightseeing. Stop at historic Lake Hotel for an included lunch. Then turn north and follow the Yellowstone River through Hayden Valley, home to large herds of North American Bison along with other wildlife and some thermal features. Next visit the impressive Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, to see the magnificent 309-foot Lower Falls. Check into nearby Canyon Lodge for overnight. This Lodge is located inside Yellowstone National Park. Tonight join the group for an included dinner in the dining room.
Day 4: September 5 – Yellowstone and Grand Tetons
This morning, return south with a morning pass through Hayden Valley for wildlife viewing. Continue south along the shores of Yellowstone Lake with picture stops along the way. Arrive West Thumb Geyser Basin for touring of thermal features. A picnic lunch is included today. Next pass by Lewis Lake as you depart Yellowstone through the south gate and enter Grand Teton National Park for an afternoon of unsurpassed scenic beauty. Travel through the Tetons and see America’s youngest and most rugged mountains piercing the clouds in majestic splendor with picture stops along the way. Arrive in the Old West Town of Jackson, check-in for a two-night stay and join the group at a local restaurant in the heart of town for an included dinner.
Day 5: September 6 – Snake River and Grand Teton
Start the day early as you return to Grand Teton National Park and enjoy a Scenic Float Trip on the Snake River. With this giant mountain range as a backdrop, you will see the wildlife, the flora, and the sheer magnitude of nature. Your river guide will point out wildlife, explain the geology of the area and tell stories about local history and folklore. It will be a morning to remember. After an included lunch, enjoy additional sightseeing of Grand Teton NP. Later in the afternoon, return to Jackson after an amazing day in the Tetons! The rest of the day is free on your own. Go explore Jackson.
Day 6: September 7 — Old Faithful and West Yellowstone
After breakfast, depart Jackson and enjoy one more scenic pass through Grand Teton National Park as you travel north. Return to Yellowstone National Park and make your way to the heart of the park, Old Faithful. Then arrive at the heart of Yellowstone, Old Faithful! Enjoy free time to explore the village and geyser basin, experience an eruption and have an included lunch. Continue your exploration of the main geothermal areas of Yellowstone NP including Upper, Middle, and Lower Geyser Basins with possible stops at Black Sand Basin, Grand Prismatic Spring, Firehole Geyser Basin, and other geothermal areas. Travel along the Firehole River and visit Fountain Paint Pots. There will also be multiple opportunities to enjoy 4 watching the wildlife within the park. Later in the afternoon, arrive West Yellowstone for overnight. A group dinner will be served at a local restaurant.
Day 7: September 8 – Yellowstone and Billings
Return to Yellowstone National Park for a final day of exploration. Enjoy wildlife viewing opportunities as you travel beside the Madison River on your way to Norris Geyser Basin. Norris is the oldest, hottest, and most dynamic of Yellowstone’s thermal areas. It features two main loops, the highly active Porcelain Basin and the forested Back Basin. Then make your way to Mammoth Hot Springs. After, time for lunch on your own, explore the colorful Mammoth Hot Springs Terraces. Boardwalks give access to the stunning, vibrant, cascading travertine terraces. Then say goodbye to Yellowstone as you travel back to Billings for a farewell dinner. After dinner, transfer to your Billings hotel, say goodbye to your local guide and checkin for overnight.
Day 8: September 9 – Flight Back To Houston
This morning we bid farewell to our Wild Wonders of Yellowstone and Grand Tetons Tour and head to the Billings Airport for our flight back to Texas.

AIRFARE IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Airfare is NOT included in the above Land Portion prices. It is too early for airlines to publish fares for September 2027. Once schedules and rates are available Heaven Bound Tours will research group air options and provide a separate airfare quote that can be added to your Land package. My guess as of right now airfare will be approximately $850 per person.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
I would always encourage you to purchase travel insurance as you never know what may happen that would prevent you from taking this vacation. Travel insurance gives you peace of mind that if you were to get sick or hospitalized prior to disembarking on your vacation the insurance would allow you to be reimbursed for the monies you have paid on your trip. Please note that this insurance is not a cancel for any reason type of insurance. Meaning if you decide a day or two before the date for the tour that you just don’t want to go on the trip it will not cover you. It must be a coverable reason such as sickness, death in the family, etc.
CANCELLATION PENALTIES: If cancellation is from day of registration to final payment date of July 15, 2027 you will forfeit your initial deposit. Additionally, if you cancel after final payment date of July 15, 2027 you lose 100% of total monies paid on trip. If you cancel prior to final payment date of July 15, 2027 the only cancellation penalty is the $900 non-refundable deposit.
